"Back in kindergarten days she invited us to her house just nine blocks north. We met their over-sized and already ancient goldfish Killer - but for the most part our meetings of the last decade have been spontaneous. So was my invitation to a reception and reading at the Central Library last November. At a coffee spot on Leary Way before venturing downtown we discovered yet another similarity.
